A route specially designed through the most emblematic sites of the textile industrialization at the 19th century that transformed Barcelona, accompanied by experts. You will learn about the history of an economic revolution and you will discover the most significant jewels of the textile and architectural heritage.

The entrepreneur Güell family, that became patron to architect Antoni Gaudí, built in 1890 the biggest modernist colony of Catalonia, surrounding its textile factory that you will discover privately. Güell commissioned to build a church and crypt to Gaudí, today, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. As Gaudí said, it’s a monumental model of the Sagrada Familia.

A recognised tissues researcher will privately guided you thought the most significant and historical dresses collection, starting from the middle age to the XIX century.

As a representation of bourgeois life and symbol of their accumulated wealth, many of these great families built grand, expensive houses in the local Art Nouveau style that is so characteristic of the city. The tour ends with lunch at one such meticulously restored Art Nouveau mansion, where you will enjoy a Mediterranean menu paired with wines from the region.


  • At around 10 a.m. your chauffeur will be waiting for you at the hotel in a luxury vehicle, accompanied by an historian who is an expert in Catalonia’s textile-industrial revolution.

  • Begin the experience at the Güell colony, the biggest modernist industrial colony of Catalonia, build in 1890 that best represents the essence and structure of the period.

  • Then the Gaudí’s Crypt will astonish you, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It’s a monumental model of the Sagrada Familia located in the hill of the colony, surrounded by the nature and being part of it.

  • Then you will head for Terrassa, the city with the greatest relevance to the Catalan textile industry, where you will visit two museums. The first museum houses an authentic depiction of how a textile factory operated, providing a unique insight into the reasons why these colonies were situated along the banks of the River Llobregat.

  • Then, moving on to a private visit guided by a recognised tissues researcher at the textile museum where you will discover the most significant and historical dresses collection, starting from the middle age to the XIX century, that still remains following their meticulous restoration.

  • Your experience will come to an end with a Mediterranean menu paired with wines from the region in one of the most emblematic Art Nouveau style houses, built in 1924 by the famous architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch.


This experience begins at 10 a.m. at the Gossypium reception and ends at 4 p.m. back at your hotel.
